The Positive Youth Development V.I. program will launch this month in an effort to empower Virgin Islands youth and maximize their fullest potential.
The federally funded leadership program will use the Choosing the Best curriculum, training and resources, along with enrichment experiences designed for middle school and high school students to make healthy choices through mentorship, virtual sessions, education, art enrichment and goal-setting.
According to Unique Xpression Ministries pastor and executive director Sharon Amey, they have spent the last two years building “the foundation, doing the groundwork for the program and reaching out to other non-profits for support and offering our program through other organizations.” Click here for the full article.
